Dr. Anwar Molani is a multidisciplinary creative professional whose work spans film acting, Urdu poetry performance, and visual arts. His acting credits include films such as Abu (2018),Unfair & Ugly (2018), and First Gens, where he brings authentic presence and creative depth to each role.
As a performing poet, Anwar is deeply engaged with the Urdu literary tradition, reciting nazm at community poetry gatherings and mushairas. Notable performances include his nazm recitation at the DOGANA Mushaira in Washington, D.C. (2022) and the Urdu Markaz Mushaira in Los Angeles (September 27, 2025). His poetry explores themes of identity, migration, and the “golden age” of life, reflecting his background as both a doctor and a veteran performer.
Anwar is an active member of the plein air community, particularly in Los Angeles.
